When does my bank account get to rest, WHEN??!!?!?! Just seen the a few days after releasing the behemoth Rozsa box set, FSM follow up with a complete Bullitt, combining both the re-recorded album score and the original score making it's CD debut. I love the film, and the score, and I love the Aleph CD that was issued, but it doesn't have what I always wanted, which is the piece of jazz that starts 0.33 into this trailer: I now find that's called "A Song For Cathy" and it's on the new CD, so on top of BTTF, InnerSpace and The Fugitive, I'm shelling out for McQueen too! I am going to hedge my bets and wait for the Varese announcements on Monday, so if I am going nuts I may as well combine postage. This is a great time to love soundtracks (it also compensates for the terrible day I've had battling DVD creation software!) |

I still have the old Warner CD, & I never play it so I'm going to pass, but I like the fact that FSM seem to be releasing more Warner soundtracks (it seemed all MGM at one time). With all these releases this Christmas there's bound to be one I must have....surely. |

This was a total surprise. Glad to have the original tracks. The rerecording is very good, but not quite as good as the film recording itself. I'll keep the rerecording but I'll give away my now extra copy of the original LP album. ![]() |
