I can't imagine anyone was more thrilled than I when Varese announced their 4-CD set to North and South. How decadent! And what a handsome package. However, it is really too much of a good thing. So I spent quite a bit of time pairing it all down to a single disc, which is still a generous 65 minutes. But it covers all the main themes and plays really well. So now I share with you, so those that care can benefit from my efforts! On now to Book II. Friends Farewell is one of my favourite cues of all time. North & South really is Conti at his best. Thanks for sharing Roger.
