Wow! What a great little article. So many have been released since. And yet so many have not. I wish circumstances were different and we could ask about those titles. Wait a minute a general question wouldn't be so bad. Without specifics have you guys been working on any (many) of those unreleased items in that article? |

Roger, thanks for posting that. The words "memory" and "lane" spring to mind. I hope it might have been a surprise for Doug. Moreover, in his writings he mentions my particular "Holy Grail" which is Elmer Bernstein's THE VOYAGE OF THE BRIGANTINE YANKEE. This obscure TV documentary is supported by one of the best scores that Elmer ever produced. The ocean in music. The first time I had the chance to meet Elmer Bernstein (at a concert rehearsal in the Royal Festival Hall) I asked him about this music which I felt to be rather special, THE VOYAGE OF THE BRIGANTINE YANKEE... He replied, "I don't remember it." |
