Working with someone to create an alien language and use it for the chorus, a drummer on board, over a year's worth of writing and pre-record time, with some (if not all) sessions taking place recently ... what ever it is, Horner best have a winner on his hands. If he can't come up with something simply amazing after having a over year to work on it, and it even once quotes "Casper's theme", the Danger Motif, or any other quote from any of his previous scores, this will spell EPIC FAIL for Horner in my book. He's litterally put off doing any other film scores just so he can concentrate on this. |

Since James Horner's quotes are not a result of a lack of time but a quest of meaning, I hope he won't listen to his detractors, that he'll remain coherent and use his usual musical vocabulary that he has so strongly built for 30 years... |

I have high hopes for both the film and Horner's score. I'm praying he hits one out of the park. His track record has been great with James Cameron, so there's hope. Btw I'll take ALIENS over TITANIC any day. Matt |
