What's your favorite love theme? Mine's are: 1. The Dark Crystal (Trevor Jones) 2. Romeo and Juliet (Nino Rota) 3. U-Turn (Ennio Morricone) -as "Old Family Souvenirs" |

The most beautiful, flyingest, soaringest one of all: John Williams' "Love theme from Superman". Having just now rewatched Phantom of the Paradise, I would include Paul Williams' "Old Souls", which I would not have thought of otherwise. Angelo Badalamenti's "Falling" (Twin Peaks' main theme). James Horner's lovely, delicate "Jenny" from The Rocketeer. Basil Poledouris' "Love Theme (Emmeline)" from The Blue Lagoon. I am certainly ommitting many obvious ones I love. |

1. Ennio Morricone's love theme from Cinema Paradiso 2. Maurice Jarre's love theme from Doctor Zhivago 3. Vangelis' theme for Rachel and Deckard from Bladerunner There are so many it's hard to list my favorites but these are a few that made a profound impression upon me and stay with me to this day! ![]() |

Not an easy question, but here are a few that come to mind: KRULL - Colwyn And Lyssa (Can't beat the early Horner sound) STAR TREK: TMP - Ilia's Theme (This one seems very underrated and is arguably one of Goldsmith's best themes ever) RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK - Marion's Theme STAR WARS - Princess Leia's Theme E.T. - E.T And Me (I think this is the one, but it was titled "Stargazers" at a recent Boston pops concert and Williams mentioned that it had never been played in concert, or even recorded, before that night) Golly! Lots of Williams in there. I must like that guy! Matt |
