I'm hooked on LOST, but I'm also a season behind on the show. I just finished first season and am hoping they re-run all second season episodes so my DVR can capture them all. I'd prefer that than waiting for the DVD, since, a) I don't want to wait, and b) the high definition broadcast looks better than the DVD. I'm not sure if on the broadcast you can hear the end title, but on the DVD you can, and what strikes me is the ingenous sound he creates with the strings...he has them sounding like a jet engine powering up. A really neat effect. We've heard music immediate trains in many guises, but this is the first time I'd heard jet engines musically portrayed. Very cool. |

You'll get to hear music from this show on my radio show in a few weeks as part of my Michael Giacchino special. Let me tell you... this music is extraordinary!!! The cue "Parting Words" is by far one of Michael's greatest cues! I can't listen to it without tearing up! -Erik- |
