I discovered Philip Glass with MISHIMA. This score has been a favorite of mine ever since. The hypnotic mood he created here is still unmatched. It's in the Top 5 scores of 1985 IMHO, along with LEGEND, REVOLUTION, RETURN TO OZ and RAN. What a score ! |

Nothing wrong with Glass. Mishima is a superb, unique film and Glass' score is perfect for it. I rate Candyman and The Hours highly too. Fans may want to have a look at the recent Glass documentary directed by Scott Hicks. |
