Terry, could you be a bit more specific? Like what type of music are you looking for exactly? What do you wish to accomplish with it? What sounds are you looking for?

Would something like Danny Elfman's "Face Like A Frog" Qualify?

Maybe this could narrow things down a bit more.

The only one that came off the top of my head that might qualify is Kevin Manthei's score for "Invader Zim". That is one mess-up score. But great fun.

Well... it's as I said.... Christopher Young's score for The Vagrant is perhaps the most screwed up music I've ever heard... you know... WEIRD!
Face Like a Frog is a GREAT example, BTW! I have that, and I wouldn't have even thought of it! Two words to describe what I'm looking for.... WEIRD and ANNOYING!
A few more examples... Fielding's score for Demon Seed and the track "Fatal Games" from Logan's Run.

Christopher Young's nonlinear suite for INVADERS FROM MARS (disc 2) is certainly weird and wacky. Ennio Morricone has plenty of bizarre and totally tweaked scores like CAT o'NINE TAILS which is loaded with screaming, weird sound effects and other oddities. Morricone's MADDALENA also has a track called Erotica Mysterioso (or something like that) which, along with the music, has sounds of a woman...umm...getting pleasure, shall we say. It is one dirty piece of music. hehe. There is another Morricone piece of which the name escapes me at the moment, but it features a woman and a child's laughter as an instrument, and it's wayyyyy out there, but cool.

How about that trailer theme Morricone composed to EXORCIST II :The Heretic.
That's my candidate for the most FU%&*ED-UP Score ever...

I wish I'd heard The Vagrant to have a better idea of what you're after. That said, for whatever reason Michael Convertino's The Hidden popped into my mind. It's not, uh, effed up in the entertaining sense of the word a la Elfman, but it sure is bloody annoying and hard to listen to :)

That's how I remember it anyway. Haven't given it a spin in years.

Everyone raves about Alan Silvestri's music to the Amazing Stories episode Go To The Head Of The Class but I don't see it or understand what makes it so wonderful. I remember watching the episode when it originally aired on television back in the mid-80's and I couldn't stand it then either..... The music just annoys the s*** out of me and I can't stand it.

Where's the score for FAMILY DOG???????
