I'd been on a hiatus from regularly purchasing soundtracks for a few years until LaLaLand released Bill Conti's Masters of The Universe score. That rejuvinated my interest and I've been picking up a few CDs each week ever since, including more Conti. I love The Coolangatta Gold the most, but have also very much enjoyed Gloria, The Karate Kid I-II-III-IV, Neighbours and Escape To Victory. FIST/Slow Dancing is on its way to me right now. Assuming copies of North & South are still available next year, I'll be grabbing both of those sets. Unmarried Woman from Intrada, too. |

One of my favorite Conti, an often forgotten score, is Rookie of the Year. A very contagious score full of energy, tenderness and innocence. It is paired with a truly beautiful 80's electronic/symphonic drama A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon, as wall as the slapstick Bushwacked with heroic moments a la Masters of the Universe. A great CD limited to 1500 copies that is currently selling out at Varèse. |

For me, it's Conti's F/X all the way. My favorite score of his by far and it never tires. I really need to check out GLORIA. Don't remember it at all. |
