This release is beyond cool. Think I'll listen to my Teen Titans, Batman Beyond, and Return Of The Joker scores to celebrate. But these three La La Land releases officially wipe me out for the rest of the year. But what a way to go. ![]() Gary, could you give me a quick call? I lost your number in my phone somehow. Thanks. |

Well, another label was going to do "Nowhere Man" a few years back until they found disney had the rights, but since Intrada seems to be making friends there ... maybe you guys can swing it. I'm excited about "MillenniuM". I remember all those years back when the Season 1 score promo leaked and people like me were huting to the S2 and S3 score promos, which I had downloaded the art work for from Mark Banning's now pass-word protected site. Reported Snow was pissed they leaked; appearently it was a friend or something along those lines. I have a pretty good idea of who it might be, and I'm not shocked. I loved it. Then came disappointment when I found there was going to be more score, but iTunes ONLY. I kept waiting, thinking maybe, just maybe a non-MP3 copy will surface, but it never did. Now this 2CD set brings essentially to a close my quest. I won't quit hunting down the S2 and S3 score promos, just for the bits not on the 2CD, but I won't be trying either. This was a hell of a surprise. For over 15 years what was holding back "Batman: The Aimated Series" was that the rights holder's didn't seem to care, but most importantly the high re-use fees since all the scores were recorded in Los Angeles. La La Land has taken a gamble on paying those high fees -- which I am surprised any label did, but in the end it will pay off simply because as others pointed out -- it's some of the best TV scoring EVER. Bring to this in the FSM thread MV Gerhard said Volume 2 is all but done, and we have a bright future ahead for fans of the show's scores. But it doesn't even stop there -- there are later seasons, "Superman: The Animated Series", the Justice League and who knows what else lurking -- waiting to jump out at us. They do have "The Flash" and "Willard" in the works, so who knows! |
