| Post subject: | RB and BG nearly nothing on CD |
RB = Richard Bellis BG = Billy Goldenberg In these days many composers are discovered because of new CD releases, but especially these two names have not appeared, yet. Concerning Billy Goldenberg luckily some of his compositions are available on CD (for example "Around the World in 80 Days") but his most important scores are missing (Duell, Columbo...). The situation with Richard Bellis is even worth. There is his great promo CD and there is a Japan-Disney-Themepark CD with two of his themes (one is an adaption of the Raiders March for a small orchestra). Nothing more as far as I know. Sadly nowhere I can find his name these days, people only talk about IT, but there also are other great scores like "To Grandmother's House We Go" , “Reflections of China”... What do you think about these two great composers? |

Do you know the "You're Invited To Mary-Kate & Ashley's..." CDs? As much as I know, there are three CDs: (1) Ballet Party, (2) Sleepover Party and (3) Birthday Party. Two of them you will find on soundtrackcollector.com: Do they contain something of interest composed by Richard Bellis, or are these just soundtracks for Olsen-Fans and less important for us? |

I, too, would love to see lots more of Billy Goldenberg's stuff out on CD. Unfortunately, the vast majority of his work was done at Universal . . . and there we are. Hopefully, FSM may yet put out THE LAST OF SHEILA from the Warners vaults. I don't remember if anyone ever commented on whether the masters for BUSTING are still available. |
