I thought Danny Elfman wrote the main theme and that theme was used for the first three seasons (and Walker wrote the scores for various episodes). Then after Mask of the Phantasm came out, producers liked Walker's theme so much they used for the fourth season. That's my impression, anyway. |

Walker's theme appeared in the very first episodes of season 1. In the pilot she used Danny Elfman's theme and then she began to hint her own theme when Batman was on screen, and the hint became a recurrent leitmotif throughout season 1. Danny Elfman's theme ended up as an only intro to the cartoon in the main title (without title by the way). |
