I'm definitely gonna grab this. It's especially good because I don't already own the Rhino release, but I did enjoy parts of the IV score, the main titles from III are fun (and I like the segue to the end credits), and I'm interested in the Ron Jones music, as it's gotten some favorable comments. So I know where I'll be next Thursday. I plan to include The Blue and the Gray in that order. I'll be looking forward to one incredible package in the mail!

Operative word MIGHT... Due to the size of each score, individual releases would be great as well, but this combo (which parallels Varese's KARATE KID box set) is a wonderful thing to behold. And the price IS fair: $120 divided by 8 is $15 per disc if you don't count the box & book. Looking forward to the remastered and expanded Ken Thorne material as well as the extras. Is anyone familiar with those Ron Jones animation scores? |
