It's a good thing you eventually got your packages. Imagine the horror when I still had not received the gone-in-a-day Inchon after a month (instead of the usual week) ! Fortunately, it arrived just a after that month had elapsed. Alien is splendid, and this release is gorgeous. This same adjectives apply to Silverado. |

[quote="Maurizio Caschetto"]Excuse the redundance of the title of this post, but after a wait of TWO months (thanks to the pitiful, lazy, horrendous and unforgivable Italian Post Service) yesterday I finally received my own copy of Intrada's ALIEN. I really jumped out of joy when the mailman gave me the pack. Dear Maurizio i am Riccardo and i am Italian as you are.I live in Rome and i am waiting ALIEN since 11th of Decemeber.Could i have some hopes at this point!!! The situation of custom and postal service has never been so terrible here in Italy as in this period!!! Ah..i forgot! I am waiting for the last varese batch since November!!2 Months and more!!! Che schifo amico mio! Un saluto Ric ![]() |

I was a happy camper two days ago when I got my Intrada package in the mail. To my horror, the mailman was late, so I was constantly checking it, but it got there, and now I have Harry and the Hendersons, The Wind and the Lion, and Alien sitting in my room. I haven't really tackled the two Goldsmith yet, but I did listen to Harry over the course of two days (with all that I've got going on, I didn't realize how hard it was to set aside time to listen to a score straight through until I had to try!), and I would've rather listened to it all in one shot, but I had to listen to something, and I am determined to listen to the other two scores in single sittings. Harry was a great listen. You pretty much can't go wrong with Broughton. He is definitely one of the most consistently solid film composers alive. Every score I've heard from him (most in film--so far) has been a delight, while having a richness of sound that is in the vicinity of John Williams. I'm definitely going to have to check out the movie again. By the way, does anyone know if he's written concert works? Anyway, I'm just kind of tagging along on this thread as long as we're talking about receiving orders. I'll let you guys know when I finish the other two scores; I'm planning on seeing The Wind and the Lion before I listen, that way I'm not spoiled by the booklet. Should be fun! ![]() |
