I do feel that Gerhardt did have a great feel for how Waxman should be performed. And just for information purposes there is a recording with John Williams and the London Symphony called "The Hollywood Sound" and A Place in the Sun is included on this compilation. The alto saxophone soloist is none other than Grover Washington Jr. and he performs it quite well. Tom |
