This new release from Prometheus finally fills an important gap in John Williams' discography. I fully agree with Roger: it's not that difficult to listen to. There's a fine balance between avant-garde and more traditional, tonal passages. It still is one of Williams' most fascinating and haunting works. And Blood Moon is a killer track, indeed. Too bad Altman and Williams never worked together again after The Long Goodbye, although Williams was supposed to be scoring Quintet at some point. That would have been very interesting.

And great sound, too!
