In 10 days, we'll be feasting next to our christmas tree, and it's time to recover our christmas soundtracks... I've made a selection of soundtracks that capture the most the sound of Christmas, in my opinion, but feel free to quote some others ! |

JOYEUX NOEL!!!!! (Philippe Rombi) THE NATIVITY STORY (Danna) Nanny McPhee (Doyle) Santa Claus (Mancini) The Snowman (Howard Blake) or MSM's new Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey sounds very good, but I could live easily without direct quotations of christmas carrolls. In that sense we could also include Eidelman's Magdalene that includes arangements of Silent Night. |

SANTA CLAUS (Mancini) I rather like ELF (John Debney); can't play it any other time of the year. |

A little late here also, but I really like the Home Alone scores by John Williams. Have listened to "Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas" seven or eight times over the holiday, and it stands up pretty well as a stand-alone Christmas anthem. And let us not forget "Do You Know How Christmas Trees Are Grown" by the redoubtable John Barry from OHMSS. ![]() --Rich |
