Like many, I do own the Alien DVD with the isolated music tracks (there are even two!). These music tracks were reasons for me to buy the DVD, they did in no way deter me from buying the wonderful Intrada CD release of the score. |

Same, by the way, with Hollow Man and Final Fantasy: the only reason I bought these two movies was because of their isolated music tracks (by Jerry Goldsmith and Elliot Goldenthal, respectively, both of whom provide commentaries as well), yet I also own the available soundtrack albums. In my case, isolated music scores may well decide whether or not I purchase a DVD. They don't stop me from buying the CD if I like to listen to the music on its own. |

The availability of a bootleg doesn't change whether or not I'll pick up an official release of a score. I've had boots of several things Intrada has released this year, and gladly trashed them when I heard about the official releases. Back at ya later |
