Just see my avatar...

JAWS THE REVENGE said that in the small square in the teaser poster (original soundtrack available on MCA records and tapes), but it never came out.

The 2.000 promo seems to come from a composer (hissy) copy of the material prepared for the album, with its 27 min. program mixing some of the tracks toghether. Possibly one of the songs from the film would have been added for the album to extend playing time to 30".

This is one of my grails, complete score with better sound needed to do justice to this great Michael Small work.

The end credits of Roger Corman's HOUSE OF USHER prominently advertise a soundtrack album of Les Baxter's score - which never materialized. Now the tapes are lost.

I was making a Wikipedia page for Quartet Records and I found, unless I missed it, #004 never came out. I guess that was cancelled.

I completed most of the page, but have stopped; if anybody wants the text code to finish it up, let me know and it's yours.

For my KING KONG LIVES lp it has a very interesting item etched in the lp near the label. STV... that was an old Varese letter prefix for their releases at one time. I wonder if it was supposed to be on Varese, then MCA took it. It would have been a couple of years before they officially started distributing the releases (I think that was 1988)...

I would love to see this spectacular score get a deluxe/expanded release. One of John Scott's finest and most exciting scores.

For me, the most maddening case was the end title scroll for RAGGEDY MAN, which said "Soundtrack available on MCA Records and Tapes" while that gorgeous Jerry Goldsmith played. I searched high and low, and even wrote to MCA, in longhand no less, and sent via snail mail, basically asking them what the heck happened. Miraculously, they replied to little old me! (I still have the letter they sent, somewhere.) Of course, they verified my worst fears, stating that the planned soundtrack was never released.

Thank heavens for the Varèse Club many years later. Their release of the score remains one of my top ten most treasured CD's.

This thread inspired me to watch the DVD of Junior Bonner again. What a wonderful little movie, 70s cinema at its best. You can't go better than with Peckinpah, McQueen, Ida Lupino and Robert Preston. Add to this Jerry Fielding's beautiful score. I love that delicate Main Title cue and how it beautifully segues into that nice opening song, "Arizona Morning", with its greatly crafted Fielding arrangement and orchestration.

Here's really hope that this someday will see a release on CD! :)

I would have purchased a Junior Bonner Cd since I buy everything of Fieldings. However I understand whare Roger is coming from. and others really can act like children on the message boards etc, but I don't think any of the companies we all purchase from FSM, Intrada, LaLaLand, etc aren't out there swimming in cash, and most releases seem to be from wishing they had the release also, even if it means not breaking even or losing money on the release. So I understand if Bonner isn't feasable.

I would still purchase it even at $29.99
