I just watched this and what a stunning Hugo Friedhofer score! Just the type of score he excels at. It is an exciting, colorful score with Friedhofer trademarks throughout, including music reflective of the Apache pride as they struggle to maintain the dignity of what their tribe used to be. Just a masterpiece. Unfortunately, the elements are missing...so no dice on an album. That is the frustrating part. |

I'm going to assume that this was one of the scores whose masters were lost when the Goldwyn sound studios were closed. No doubt his music for another UA flim, Corman's THE SECRET INVASION is another lost score. |
