A shame this great Morricone effort didn't remain in catalogue for very long. Vinyl pressings can still be found rather easily, but the Atlantic CD is very hard to find. I also love the accordion waltz when Harrison and Emmanuelle are on the rooftops. Nice touch!

Agreed, the Grace Jones song is wonderful and should have been on the soundtrack album. I'm surprised Warner Germany (who own Atlantic if I'm not mistaken) never considered rereleasing this soundtrack based on Morricone's popularity.

I really don't want to look like a braggart or anything like that but it happens my father worked on Frantic as focus puller, and I've never heard of such a subplot in the movie. The final release was pretty much the shooting script. But again, that was twenty years ago... But I have nice memories of going to the studios de Boulogne and having Roman Polanski grabbing the headphones of my discman to listen to the Aliens soundtrack and finding the music "really nice". That's when he told me he really couldn't stop listening to Ennio Morricone's The Mission. And next... Ennio Morricone was signed to write the score.
