I have just done my best to calm Marlene down and find out what is going
on. She has no idea who sent off that email since she did not.
Nevertheless Gregory is very very sick.
He has been running a fever for over a week. He does not go to doctors.
Last night he had a heart attack. He has suffered from some 'cyst' at
the base of his spine for years that erupts. He was pumping himself with
Aleve and vitamin supplements. He had the air conditioning on and fans.
He was downing liquid after liquid.
Right now his kidneys have failed. He has no blood pressure. And other
things as well.
I told Marlene to stay calm, though I know that is impossible. That the
doctors are doing what they can, piece by piece. I chatted with a friend
who is a nurse before calling her so I would have a better idea what this
is all about... unless they can isolate the cause of this, his body will
begin to shut down organ by organ. She appreciated the phone even though
she didn't know who the hell I was. I told her I would give her a call
tomorrow. The poor thing is lost and confused and frightened.
