I'd say John Powell's score is the best of the three (though ironically from the worst movie of the three)... but I do agree it's a pity they couldn't have had one composer throughout, or at least had subsequent composers use the same basic themes like with the Nightmare on Elm Street movies (which all have different composers but which also all have Charles Bernstein's theme in there somewhere). |

X1: mediocre, uninspired; the most interesting theme is borrowed from Mr. Holland's Opus. X2: better, at least has a powerful main theme. X3: the best of the series and probably the best score of that year. |
