I gotta agree with Doug on this one. Saw the film a couple nights ago and it went from merely okay to fantastic by the time it was over. I think I liked it better than the original (which I liked pretty well). The performances were all terrific, especially the two leads and Alan Tudyk. The score I think should have been a *little* stronger before the end of the film. It's my impression though that Beltrami wrote some of his best music that'll end up on the album but didn't in the film. Yavar |

Saw it over the weekend. Really liked it, and since the theater got hit by a power outage about twenty minutes in, I pretty much saw it for free. I loved Beltrami's score in the film, especially the music for when they were on the rooftops. Hate the fact that it seems to only be getting an itunes release, though. I think this is the fourth Liongate Records release this year that I would have bought had it been on CD as opposed to download only. |
