Well thanks, Roger -- whenever I misunderstand something, I like having it pointed out to me so I can be right afterward. So how old DOES a soundtrack recording have to be before the reduced re-use fees for limited pressings apply? |

FSM is where I read of the 25-year factor, around the time they started their monthly CD releases. Thanks, Yavar. Since everything's negotiable, Roger, how about "negotiating" the whereabouts of the masters and then a splashy release of the full two hours of QB VII? Seriously, I don't know whether this ever has been mentioned; but since he's gained currency in recent years, I'd love to see a limited disc of Michael Small's beautiful LOVE AND PAIN AND THE WHOLE DAMN THING (Columbia Pictures, 1972). IF it still exists. |
