Jason, maybe you've come along at just the right time. In the next few months I'll be getting married and currently face moving out of the apartment where I've lived longer than the lifetime of many of this forum's members -- and unfortunately, that means I have to move multiple collections out of here, too!
I've collected film-music LPs since the '60s; and in being anal about quality, sometime in the '70s I also began buying spares of particular favorites, which never got played unless I needed to make a dub. The short version is I didn't move quickly enough to liquidate these multiples at the dawn of the CD era, OR before many of them got reissued on CD.
I don't have the time to sell these individually on eBay, and I've never willingly considered throwing them out -- but my fiancee is already despairing over even the amount of LPs she KNOWS about, so I'd be glad to find appreciative homes for the multiples I don't need.
Goldsmith, Newman, Barry, Herrmann, Rozsa, Delerue, Bernstein, Quincy Jones, Morricone -- I'm not trying to get rich here, but if Jason or anybody else here has the lust for '60s-'70s soundtrack vinyl (or '70s-'80s US/British/Japanese/European reissues of some still older scores) for $2-$5 each, please let me know during August. I'll be so happy not to face leaving these behind, stacked up next to trash cans in the alley!
(If Intrada has some policy against even low-level commercial posts on the forum I guess Wyatt Earp will let me know.)
Best,
Steven Lloyd
