I had no idea Mandel wrote an unused score for this. This alone, with THE VERDICT is quite exciting! |

Bravo, Intrada, you did it. finally, at last, at long last. This score is a holy grail of mine. I always thought FSM should logically have released it way back "The French Connection". Keep up the good work! My last word: Ordered! |

The Verdict sounds mournful and introspective, just as like it. Love the choir over the end titles. A beautiful idea. The Seven Ups is propulsive and intricate. Well, you've done it again: ordered!  Johnny Mandel is a wonderful composer so we should celebrate this new release. There're so many other great scores of his waiting to see the light of day (i.e. Harper). And Don Ellis rocks! Bravo!!

I'm always impressed with the posters here who guess correctly on nearly ALL releases. Even with the slightest of clues by Roger, someone is always on the right track. Very impressive. I can always count on this board for someone to crack Roger and Doug's sometimes cryptic (but other times quite obvious) clues. I wonder if Doug and Roger notice this trend as well. |
