In this interview, Doug, to the Intrada huge failures question, you're answering that nobody cared about Heart of Darkness, in a very disapointed way. I must tell I didn't have a clue...
Back then in 1998, I was madly playing to the Eric Chahi videogame (which was pretty much a hit if I remember correctly), trying to copy as much of music I could out of the game itself (main title, end title,...). I would have died to have the complete score and I went in a period where I was listening everything from Bruce Broughton because of this frustration : Silverado, Lost in Space, Honey I Blew Up the Kids, Tombstone, etc. I knew Bruce Broughton before (in movies) but not this way, I completely fell in love with all his CDs.
Then, in 1999, Intrada announced the music was getting released on CD ! I was ecstatic ! I had to order it in a local store, because it was unavailable everywhere (nobody cared about videogame music back then, part of the failure of the CD I guess), and I had to wait 2 weeks before receiving it at last ! You made the happiest/craziest person on earth this day, I can tell you ! I must have played this CD thousands of time since then, and HOD remains a miracle that happened thanks to you. Here, I had to tell how much it was great for me to have this release when I read your disappointed comments about this.
