They're pairing Elmer Bernstein's "The Bridge at Remagen" (long thought lost - thank God Elmer was a packrat!) with Maurice Jarre's "The Train"!

The description says: "The Train portion of this CD features the (electronic) stereo album master...." Anybody know what that means? I don't believe I've ever heard of an electronic stereo album master when the score's all acoustic.

Ain't it GREAT to be buried in all this great stuff that's coming out lately?

Most likely, it means the "stereo" was produced electronically, through filtering of some sort, rather than true stereo, which is the result of multi-track recording at the original music recording sessions.

NOW go look what FSM's got! I've never heard of either film but western scores by Kaper and Previn?? No brainer here.
