Post subject: | Question for Intrada |
I want to start this post off by saying I'm in no way trying to slam Intrada or anything like that. Preserving film music seems to be overlooked more often than not and I absolutely adore tons of the music you guys have released. However, I'm not what you'd call one hundred per cent financially stable and sometimes I miss out on limited editions because of my lack of funds at the time. My question is this: Why do film score labels only give hints when they're about to put out a limited release instead of coming out and saying, for example, "On October 12th we'll be releasing Elmer Bernstein's score to Saturn 3, a score which has been previously unreleased until now. It's limited to 2500 copies so grab one while you can!" I only ask because announcements like that would give me (and other people in my boat) a chance to save up before a flood of limited releases. I'm always afraid that I'll get something from Varese only to lose my chance with a limited Intrada release a week later or something like that. Thanks for reading! |

Thanks very much for your reply. I suppose my idea would work in a perfect world, but sadly we don't live in one and I forgot to consider the various complications that seem to pop up. Thanks again! |
