Received yesterday from Intrada: the splendid 2CD edition of Broughton's splendid Silverado, John Williams' most beautiful Memoirs of a Geisha (now playing), Harline's Warlock / Friedhofer's Violent Saturday (yet to play), and the Intrada-produced Ballets Russes (Todd Beokelheide & Conte), which is as nice as the samples suggested. Thanks a lot for the special Silverado edition! The cover (discussed in another thread) is perfectly fine; great colors; my only compaint would be that the case doesn't hold the first disc at all; it's loose-- but fortunately unharmed; I'll try and replace the case, but I'll have to figure out how to open it without damaging the inlay. |

The newest stuff in my collection is all over the map but I can't stop playing MUNICH right now so they'll have to wait. A preview copy of the Georges Delerue collection from Cinefonia looks exciting so I'll probably make an effort to set aside MUNICH for an hour or two, at least. I'm not sure I can stay away from it much more than that. --Doug |
