I organize by acquisition to avoid constant shelf reorganizing, but I maintain a database that has alphabetical listings. It's a better way to handle the schizoidness filing of a two-fer. |

I just pick the score I like best, and let that determine where I categorize it. Back at ya later |

I generally go by the score that comes first on the CD (e.g. The Star Chamber/The Driver - you can swap the covers, but rearranging the programme on the CD itself without programming it each and every time you put it in a player is harder). The Pick-up Artist/Sherlock Holmes in New York was a tough one, since we're not only dealing with two different composers but also with a big-screen movie and a TV movie (I generally have the TV scores separate from the film ones*) - I put my copy in with the big screen "D"s for Georges Delerue. *And when we're dealing with ones that don't really fit in either category like Bruce Broughton's Heart of Darkness... HELPPPPP!!!! |
