Is there, by any chance, an upcoming official release of Max Steiner's score for "Helen of Troy" in the wind? This weekend I saw copies of various 'unofficial' releases in three different used CD stores - sometimes it's an indication that a new and improved version is coming when the previous releases start getting dumped. Anyone know? FUN score! Sorry, Doug, but I think it leaves Horner's version in the dust. ![]() |

What used CD stores are these, exactly. I'd like to see for myself! I'd buy an official Helen of Troy gladly (it's one of the few scores Bernstein did a generally poor job on for his FMC series, IMO, but then it *was* the first after all), but I'd much rather be able to buy Joan of Arc. ![]() Yavar |

One at Amoeba, two different ones at a place called Soundsations in Westchester which are the ones I snagged for $7 apiece, and someone told me just now that they saw another one at some used CD shop in Burbank. It's as though someone is flooding the market with these things for some reason. |

Are they Membran? Maybe they just got their hands on the tracks and started issuing them. Yavar |
