Now here's a composer i've always wanted to have a compliation album of, most notably his zany score to "Real Men". (i've got a dub of the end credits on a cassette somwhere) Since not many of his scores are on CD, any recommendations of his work? |

I only know his "underscores" for LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS and MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL, but also the oh cheesy TEEN WOLF soundtrack. I like those works, but I don't play them everyday (except for LITTLE SHOP, because Alan Menken rules and I need to be fed ! )... |

As it seems, there are several promo compilations of his work floating around. I heard his scores for What About Bob, Housesitter and Dunston Checks In. It is quite enjoyable stuff. Nothing really outstanding if you ask me but the man definitely has potential. He still needs to get a project which is not just comedy where he can really shine. |

The director Frank Oz was the man who knew how to bring the best out of Miles so it was sad that their last collaboration was Indian in the Cupboard, yes Miles unfortunately got rejected and replaced by Randy Edelman so I am very curious about that score So if anyone will do a compilation album with Miles' music it should include music from the films of Frank Oz if not, that would be really missing something great btw he did some music adaptions for films such as Footloose and others in the eighties, what do you think about those? |
