Young is not my favorite Golden Age composer so when I recommend a score of his you can be sure it's good.
My favorite Victor Young scores besides Scaramouche (yeah, I hear ya about that theme*):
Shane (fantastic classic western score that begs for a complete re-recording...Franz Waxman contributed one of the best cues, by the way)
The Left Hand of God (may be my single favorite Young score on album...it's closer to later Alfred Newman or even Hugo Friedhofer in terms of restraint and clear beauty, probably because it was for Fox...unfortunately Varese is sold out of these but you could probably find it for less than 30 bucks somewhere)
And thanks to my friend Carlton, I discovered the lengthy suite from Samson and Delilah, which is quite excellent.

Such a great theme by Franz Waxman for Untamed...and it's hardly in the score! Oh, and the best theme in Peter Bernstein's Rough Riders score only is there once (and a half).
