Mr. Fake -- I know that you and your stellar company are always in negotiaton with the movie companies to release (or re-release) so many great titles out there. It seems to me that Universal and 20th Century Fox seem to be two of the best of the studios that are willing to work with the soundtrack labels and let the music break free of the vaults. Columbia also seems to be cooperative.
It's well known that Paramount makes it harder on you guys to release their music on CD, and I was wondering exactly why this is? I mean, what are the chances that Intrada could do a complete score release of STAR TREK V? On a scale from 1 to 10? One being the worst and ten being the best chance. Or THE TEN COMMANDMENTS? Sony reissued STAR TREK I several years ago and they also put out an expanded DANCES WITH WOLVES, but why can't Intrada have done these?
However, this is a minor complaint simply because Intrada kicks butt when it comes to their efforts. I mean, AMAZING STORIES!! Wow. There is so much heart put into those titles, and there is no doubt that of the few soundtracks out there that aren't available, there are many more that are. And I am sure that as time goes by, maybe the execs at Paramount will let you into their good graces.
