[quote="Roger Feigelson Nah...who needs that crap. All of this background music is enough to drive one crazy.[/quote] Yeah, totally agree... What we really need is Henry Mancini's Condorman. Now, there's a masterpiece, sadly overlooked. ![]() ![]() |

Well... any release of Condorman on CD would indeed be very appealing! ![]() But I must admit Two for the Road is a real classic. Too bad Henry Mancini wasn''t able to release Stéphane Grappelli's original performances as featured on the soundtrack, due to contractual reasons. ah, well... |

Boy, you're absolutely right! ![]() This has been a controversial score ever since it was released 17 years ago. But the Varèse CD does have many fine moments. I have feeling Mr. Rosenman was definitely playing the comic book aspect of Robocop in there. Cheesy as it may sound it's still a fun album! |

Aside from Mancini's wonderful score to "Two for the Road" (although, I confess to not recalling a whole lot other than the title tune), the film itself is one of my favorites. It's nothing grand or slick, just an intelligent, excellently written, beautifully acted film that seems to know a lot about real people, marriage and life. I wish there were more movies like this...
