Stephen, you're right enough. I have a copy of the 45-rpm single in question (Paramount Records PAA-0305; running time 3:25). Having just given it a spin for the first time in a long time, I noticed the string ensemble input. I hadn't noticed this before - that it was different from the CD - so thanks for pointing that out. Incidentally, side two of the record is a David Shire composition called "Invocation" - not from any film, it would appear... - James. |

Ever since James confirmed the existance of this single, I've spent a few hours trawling the internet, trying to find shops or online dealers who might have rare singles like this. But, although it seems reasonably easy to locate full length soundtrack albums on vinyl, there don't seem to be as many marketplaces for singles. Obviously I can keep watching ebay, but I'm wondering if anyone here knows of any specialty stores or online dealers who might be a source for rare 45s like this one? Any help would be much appreciated. |
