But does The War at Home really qualify as "a modern action classic"?

Seems the ideal choice, first Intrada release + recent loss of Mr. Poledouris

Second choice could be
RENT-A-COP MAF 7002
As, despite being another cinematic turkey, this is a classic modern action score by Goldsmith.

Is there anything else from the Intrada collection that fits the clues?

A true Goldsmith modern action classic (for 1975 anyway)
and the film's not bad either.
How Intrada managed to get this license from Arista is another miracle.
(at that time Varese got The Fury & Bay Cities got 1941)
If it's re-issued, that would be nice!
If it's expanded, that would be sweet!

Well, according to several music producers in the know, Wind and the Lion won't be coming any time soon. Besides, it's hardly modern, being over 30 years old (and even then it was kind of a retro Golden Age thing anyway). Action classic, perhaps. In any case I think there'd be a bit more hype and hoopla about it if someone had managed to get it from Arista (and even more if expanded).

Not sure what the situation was for that -- the original Ghostbusters album had very little score.

But if anyone *can* expand Arista releases, please do Wind and the Lion and The Shadow first!

I don't normally chime in on these things, but I recall Doug posting something a while back that said one of their coming-soon releases was "an expanded edition of an old favorite," or something to that effect.

So, to me anyway, "Red Dawn" makes the most sense — and gets me the most excited.

Oh, I remember now. It was the thaxtonite that confused me, saying they had hte rights, but then someone pointed out they didn't (in another thread, I think).
