Hello,
I am currious if there is a chance Intrada could release one day any of previously unreleased scores from Marco Beltrami - I mean also his TV and independent scores which probably won't be too expensive for a record company such as David and Lisa (Emmy winner), Tuesdays with Morrie, Incorrporated, and most recently his great and certainly unreleased scores from Cursed and even better Red Eye?
Would add Red Eye to the best scores of the year and it is shame it has not been released in any form
Also listening right now to UNDERWORLD 2 - Marco's best score of the year and probably one of his best scores so far

I am getting a bit used to MB sound which I like very much... he has his own voice definitelly but as all others he likes some stylistic approaches and arrangements as similar simple motifs which can be found in his work, eg in UW 2 there definitelly are some nuances of Hellboy and even xXx 2... but who likes his voice could hardly ever expect more than he did on UW 2 especially. this project which is very different from his last works and the same is the case of THREE BURIALS OF MELQUIADES ESTRADA - can only recommend the documentary, which is included on the CD and also on his agency website...
Underworld 2 IMHO belongs to his best works and is one of the nicest surprises of these days with uninventive dissapointments such as King Kong.

That's right but more important for me is the musical potential of the project and with TNMT the score might have been really great especially when he got involved through his Hellboy score and the director wanted something similarly thematically based...

Also when the score is finished and just needed to be recorded and it hardly ever will is quite sad

When you pick Beltrami's latest high profile projects there is not so many good films but imho quite a few really great scores:

The Omen - horrible film, amazing score
Underworld 2 - imho highly underrated score, the film barely average
Flight of the Phoenix - one of his most experimental scores in years for such a boring film
xXx: State of the Union - entertaining score, one of the most stupid films of 2005
Cursed - I might be the only one who really like this score and the film is rather weak.


Considering his upcoming projects Die Hard IV - I don't think this will be a good film considering previous Wiseman projects and have no idea of direction the score might go in... The Invisible should be very interesting score based on pianos, strings and electric guitar but the name David S. Goyer really freaks me out...
TNMT was the only project looking promising and good for Beltrami's skills and sound and could provide him the opportunity to write fantastic thematic score that none of his projects within 2 years did
