On the eve of the theatrical release of Frank Miller's 300, I thought that I'd post a link to the official website for Manos Hadjidakis, the original composer for director Rudolf Mate's spectacular 1961 epic, 300 SPARTANS. I just caught this film tonight on AMC and was pleasantly surprised by the score, and not just it's bold scope, but mostly because I had never heard of the composer before seeing this film. The site is informative, has some nice pictures and bios, but the real draw, are the ample audio samples. Still, after seeing the 300 SPARTANS and enjoying the wonderful score by Hadjidakis, I was wondering if any of his score had ever been released, either on a compilation or CD collection?

Just some general information:
The greek label Sirius has a handful of records (classical stuff and film scores) from Manos Hadjidakis listed, including the score for Jules Dassin's "Topkapi".
But sorry... not "300 Spartans".
