The Dave Grusin classic scrore to "<Y BODYGUARD". This is LONG overdue for a cd release. I have searched for yeasr and not even a bootleg exists of the beautiful music to this great teen flick from 1980. The music fit this film about as well as any for it's genre and time. Someone help me convince Mr. Grusin to finally give this classic a cd release!!! Thanks, Daryl from Maryland |

WOW, this is the first time i have ever heard this explanation. LOST, meaning that is why all these years have passed and nothing has ever been released. Not even a mention from Grusin or the studio? I have waited and searched for yeasr for anythig on this classic. Well at least this explains why things have remained as such. Thanks for the information, Daryl fromMaryland |

Roger, could you please post info if these two Delerue scores might finally be available or the masters are confirmed lost? HER ALIBI (1989) - Warner Bros. I understand that Warner Bros is less communicative than other studios, might this be the only reason? HOUSE ON CARROLL STREET (1988) - Orion Pictures Not sure about status of this production company, I suppose it does belong under MGM now? Thank you very much for any info if you know anything about these two magnificent scores.... ![]() |

Anything by Dave Grusin is good IMHO, but a real gem would be a complete release of The Goonies. As far as I know, the only original recording ever released of Grusin's great score is the End Credits/Goonies Theme track on the song compilation album. And although the re-recording of some of the cues on the Best of Adventure CD is ok, the original score recording sounds so much better... So, Roger or Doug, any chance we'll see a release of The Goonies? I would buy at least 10 copies, for I cannot think of anything better to give childhood friends for birthdays and christmas... Mikey: Heh, if you hit the wrong note, we'll all "B flat"! |

Any chances on ESCAPE FROM PLANET OF THE APES, please? There was certainly more music than just suite issued with Varese apes CD. Was the rest of music damaged or simply Varese decided not to release the whole score? Very funny piece and one of last parts of the series (or the only one?) without its own CD release. |

Post subject: | My two cents! |
Since we're on the subject of scores that may never see the light of day, I'll once again cast my vote for Trevor Jones' score from "Nate and Hayes." With all of the popularity surrounding this maestro at the current time, it's about time someone with access comb through the vaults at Paramount (or whomever owns the score) and release it for all to enjoy!!!!
