Sounds GREAT! (More Julie Kirgo notes!)

Which one was the Holy Grail?

I love Max Dugan's theme; I knew it from David Shire's promo disc, which features a selection of themes from several movies.

Thank you so much! Max Dugan Returns has always been a guilty pleasure very dear to my heart, with Shire's score the red ribbon on the package. Bouquets to you all.

Very nice to see Max Dugan released, I have the Shire promo
and have always thought a full realease would be welcome. Haven't seen or heard the Hamlisch score/film, but I look forward to hearing it also. Two underappreciated,, and "under-released" composers. I just ordered it a few minutes ago, along with The Hindenburg, North's 2001, Blizzard, and a non-Intrada release (in true Scot's fashion, just trying to save a bit on the postage  ). Thanks again for making these available to us, and I am really happy (as long as the budget holds out) to try to support the effort. :) . I truly look forward to what's coming up next.

Like others, I'm only familiar with Max Dugan from the track on the Shire promo. But what a track it is! I'll be ordering this one for sure.

I don't want to sound negative,... but why didn't you put Max Dugan Returns and The Hindenburg on one cd?

Max Dougan ordered.

A question for those who have been through "the vaults" looking for music to release:

Do elements from David Shire's superb score for Night, Mother still exist? I noticed that on Shire's promo cd it's the only cue in mono, and naturally it's also one of my favorites. Any news?

In an interview David Shire came up with a brilliant description of the intimate character-driven scores he is often called upon to write. He called them "brain surgery scores" because they had to be done so carefully, never overwhelming the intimate nature of the drama but always there to support it. He inferred that spotting sessions for score like that were always very challenging. Like many people who accomplish difficult feats, he makes it appear easy, almost unconscious. I'll be interested to hear Zodiac when it's released on cd.
