I just got back from seeing 'The Mission' at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC in which Ennio Morricone was to introduce the film. Unfortunately the maestro backed out at the last minute because he is rehearsing for his concert tomorrow at the United Nations. The head of the film division of the MOMA said perhaps Morricone will attend a future screening of one of his films. One could only hope. At least there's still Saturday's concert at Radio City Music Hall to look forward to.

A positive thing, though: Morricone's name is on the marquee of Radio City. It's so cool to see. As I was standing on the street corner admiring the sight, a young woman standing near me exclaimed to her companion that Morricone was going to Radio City. Made me chucklle.[/img]

I don't suppose any of our kindly-disposed Big Apple-dwelling friends could snap and upload a camera-phone picture of the Radio City marquee? The sight would surely warm the cockles of my heart.

I took this today. Sorry it looks weird. I work across the street from Radio City. I'll try and see if I can get a better one tomorrow in the day.
