Yeah, well, we (or at least you should know) I run that site about them. Anyway, with the nubmer of people going ape shit over Christopher Young scores, I wondered why some of his rejected, and incomplete scores haven't made it to CD (except Shade). They'd sell even if it was just Young whisteling. Oh, and rejected scores in general. I have to ask. |

some of the most important rejected scores for me to be released are: Christopher Young - Unfinished Life Georges Delerue - Regarding Henry and Something Wicked this way comes and of course, Howard Shore - King Kong also quite a lot of scores from the given list above depends also on how much / whether the composer even recorded his music with an orchestra and if there is only the synth demo or a couple of minutes orchestral recording from the first session before they were cancelled - which is unfortunatelly the case of Marco Beltrami - Texas Rangers - 8 minutes on his Film Music 2002 is one of the best western music I have ever heard in my life... |

MOUSE HUNT - Bruce Fowler (NOTE: FSM listed it, so I believe them) THE SIXTH MAN - Randy Edelman. 2001 RAT RACE - Elmer Bernstein, R.I.P. Three questions : About Elmer Bernstein and Jerry Goldsmith... Bernstein did a movie called in (he even casts in it !) and Goldsmith made a ... so when I saw that Bernstein didn't score RAT RACE (John Powell did) or Goldsmith didn't score BABE (Nigel Westlake did)... is it true that both were attached to those projects or is it a mistake ? One more question about Elmer Bernstein. I remember that when GANGS OF NEW YORK was on screen, Elmer Bernstein had to do a PROM NIGHT CONCERT at the ALBERT HALL. And in the program of this concert, he had to conduct a world premiere concert suite of GANGS OF NEW YORK... does somebody knows if he did it ? And last question... In a old SOUNDTRACK MAGAZINE, I read that John Williams had to score the "FLINTSTONES MOVIE". He began but didn't finish it. In this article, it seems that the writer says that the opening cue of the film is Williams' own and not by David Newman. Is it true ? I know the last question is not a "rejected score"... it's -maybe- rejected only by conflict schedule ! Have a nice evening ! Greetings from Belgium ! |

For those of us who have actually heard what Silvestri had done for PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN, it's a double shame that it got dumped and will likely never see the light of day. - Oz |

The cue you can find on some Peer2Peer program and called "Alan Silvestri's rejected Pirates of Caribbean" is not by Silvestri ! And it's not from Caribbean ! It's from PHANTOM MANOR, the french adaptation of the Disney's Haunted Mansion in Disneyland Paris arranged by John Debney. Silvestri didn't write anything for the Johnny Depp swashbuckling. You can find some mp3 here : http://www.grimghosts.com/phantom/phanscore.html http://itsasmallworld.free.fr/frontierl ... mmanor.mp3 |
