Now, guess what we read in the Italian BeatRecords forum: Nicola: "con la canzone “It’s A Long Road”; e da lì scattano i titoli di coda. Ebbene con i 38'' estrapolabili dalle vecchie edizioni del CD non era possibile". More or less the same ""38'' whining" about the song. This is also true and can't be a coincidence:

In the Navy Seals thread U.G. says on Jan 17th: "Mr. Fake, you are a trumpet player, you liked the funeral track as it came in the movie and then put that version on the release. Well, what if someone liked the “High Jumpers” cue with NO guitar solo? Why did not you include it as bonus track, too? It's just an example."

In BeatRecords forum Nicola says on Jan 17th: "Per esempio nella traccia “High Jumpers” è stato aggiunto un assolo di chitarra totalmente assente nel film. Motivo? Il solito. Il brano del funerale invece è presente nel CD in due versioni. Motivo? Al sig. Fake, trombettista per diletto, piaceva l’ assolo di tromba assente nella versione originale (cioè quella scritta prima dei cambiamenti operati in post-produzione) per cui ha pensato di inserirla nel CD come bonus".

Same keywords, same concepts. Do the math.

I appreciate the internet has made it easier to post unkind remarks, blunt criticisms and whatnots at the touch of a mouse... and I appreciate that a handful of soundtrack collectors have decided every release of importance to them should be custom tailored to their own individual quirks and whims... but posters with abusive, non-stop negative diatribes don't entertain me nor do they add anything to the conversations at hand. Happily, these annoying folks are in the minority and fun posters with constructive commentary and criticisms are in the norm.

Roger and I will probably just excercise our right to simply press the "ban" button on these rude posters more often. We may end up in a game of whack-a-mole but at least we'll be the ones with the hammer.

The proof of the pudding is in the taste. This is pretty much the only thing that comes even close to a criticism that I've heard regarding this First Blood set. 99.9% of Intrada's customers were completely satisfied with this release.

Well I've just ordered this First Blood new release, to fully realize how bad it is and spread all my negative comments about it here...

No, seriously, I blindly trust Doug and his team, just like I blindly trust Jerry Goldsmith and don't come saying "hey Jerry why did you put that trumpet here ? this is awful and a complete disgrace for your fans !".

Nicola, these guys are the best in the world, they know what they're doing. And if they want to paste, cut, edit, whatever, I don't mind, because they can't go wrong. And if they ever do, they warn everyone and send replacement copies ! What more would you ask for ?

Ban the troll and let's move on. Any fuss about him is one too much. This (still) is a unique place/forum.
