Damn proud to own The Wild Side Of Henry Mancini, a 1961 pressing of the 1958 Touch Of Evil score. The LP is a radio station promo only release (1000 copies?) with some tracks not included on the commercial LP from 1958. Found a copy in mint condition at some junk store in Ohio many moons ago for 50 cents.

It usually sells for a couple of fat franklins oneline. My guess is when Mancini's popularity soared after Peter Gunn and Breakfast At Tiffany's, his earlier score for Touch Of Evil was revisited by this release.
The recording was legendary when I found a copy, I knew of it from the liner notes of the Citadel release of the score from 1980, that LP combines both earlier LP's into one. Very happy that day when I found the LP, a feeling only us old school vinylfingers can really and truly understand...
