Released by Prometheus
Thanks for pointing this out. DOH! on my part, I somehow didn't transfer this from the "want" list to the "have" list when I purchased it in 2003! Sorry!
<Nevada Smith (A. Newman)
"Released" by Tusnami
<One Eyed Jacks (North)
"Released" by Tusnami
I have both, Nevada Smith & OEJ, and do not consider them legitimate releases (or Anything else from Tsu****, for that matter). Sound quality is lacking on OEJ especially, and I would love to send BOTH of them to my Leroy Holmes Memorial Frisbee collection.
<Rio Bravo (D. Tiomkin) - My own "holy grail" of Western genre scores
And mine. But I am afraid it seems to be complete lost. I wish some private collector could have something rescued.
I 'm with you there! After seeing the release of things "rumored lost" like The Satan Bug, and The Devil's Brigade...hope springs eternal that s o m e t h i n g might exist out there.
I am aware that many of these are "lost", "rumored lost",
"misplaced", just plain "thrown out" (Thanks WB!) or available as a
b**t (cowboy b**t?). The criteria I used was based pretty much on the lack of a legitimate licensed CD release by a legitimate company (i.e. Intrada, FSM, LA-LA, Varese).
And I also have to point out that several of these don't have enough score to merit a release on their own , and a few of them would have to be paired with the OST release of something like Spartacus or Alien to sell more than a dozen copies.
Thanks algonrei, for setting me straight on the Big Jake error. I guess I might blame it on that second glass of wine while I was typing the list last eve. And it's always nice to see another fan of Tiomkin's excellent
Rio Bravo score.
