Thank you Wim ! That's it... I remembered well it was a regular edition - but where could I have imagine that it was an expanded from the Intrada catalog ? Maybe because I thought to Silverado, Tombstone and Red Dawn when Doug said "We're also doing another expanded one - a genuine classic - one you've been asking for but were always told could never happen"

NP: AMISTAD (J. Williams): a very underrated score !

Hum, does it mean "rumored lost tapes" or "altered beyond use tapes", or does it refer to rights problem, or just a too high price ?

Doug said "They're exciting projects to be sure but I don't anticipate everyone jumping on them all at once. Save that for the 2-CD set coming up just two weeks later - August 7 - when we offer you an expanded release for one of the truly greats. One for which we'd all skip a meal or two if need be".

I'm not sure what "expanded" means in that context. I assumed it meant that a single disc version had previously been issued but perhaps not.

As this is a new title and not an expanded re-issue for Aug 07.

I guess STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE complete
(my reasoning based on Columbia/Legacy/Sony Records holds the album rights to this Paramount Picture... so, perhaps, this could happen too)
or
MASADA complete (which is almost 2 hours in length)

A while ago Doug spoke rather obliquely about not being entirely sure that there are no "Conan the Barbarian" music elements left. Perhaps Doug was being cute and we've got a BIG mess of glorious, Poledouris-y, sword-wielding, head-thwacking music coming our way?
