Could it be that Rozsa's EL CID (1961)has officially been found, restored, remastered and in production for CD release???

Excuse me, but 45 years IS roughly four decades,
Doug Fake didn't specify under or over forty years.
I was going to guess QUO VADIS, but that one IS too old and also has lost master tapes.

I also wouldn't consider any of Rozsa's music "simple" either.

SPARTACUS (1960) is ruled out because the tapes aren't lost and under lock & key at Universal.
However, the clue COULD be misleading and alluding to it,
IF
Universal was kind enough to cooperate with their one and only perfect master, etc.
And if this were to be released, it would most likely be a 3CD set... this score deserves it.

The same thing could be said about PSYCHO (1960) as well!!
The single remaining master lovingly restored!

Does El Cid really qualify as "complicated masterpiece"?

With the term "complicated" I usually connect Alex North...

...which leads me to the expectation of a score that everyone can guess without me having to mention the title. You know... from the movie with kirk douglas that always is mentioned in this kind of guessing game.

I seem to remember that one never had "lost tapes issues" from all the discussions on it, rather it was simply Universal being a bitch.

He said "roughly four decades" and 46 years seems to be a bit much for that, as well (it'd also rule out El Cid...).

But hey, what do I know?

After all, reasons Intrada could do it, especialy in light of Amazing Stories, have also been brought up...
